Honeymoon Cabins

"Chris and I stayed at Mountain Brook for our honeymoon in 1997. We had an amazing time and have never forgotten our memories in our Honeymoon Cottage. Thank you for always making your guests feel welcomed. Mountain Brook will always be, to me, a place of beauty, peace, tranquility and above all, friendliness! Thank you for lifelong memories and your dedication to helping create them!"

Honeymoon Cabins

Here are some pictures we took on our first day.

Honeymoon CabinsMe checking in at the office. This little road meanders through towering trees and up through the honeymoon cottages. There are eight of them on this side of the Mountain Brook property. Honeymoon Cabins
Honeymoon Cabins Honeymoon CabinsHere I am fishing in the stocked pond where hundreds of mountain rainbow trout went into a frenzy as soon as my bait hit the water. No, Dad, we did not bring our poles, but the folks here at Mountain Brook provided everything we needed - even recipes for cooking them.
Honeymoon CabinsWe met these folks when we arrived. Perhaps we will visit with them while we're here - but since they're on their honeymoon, too, perhaps not! Honeymoon Cabins
Honeymoon Cabins Honeymoon CabinsThis is the Spa and Sauna Bungalow where we made reservations for its use one evening. It is all glass-sided and looks out over the brook and woodlands. Thanks for the robes you had waiting for us! We'll use them while walking to and from the bungalow. It is so romantic and will be "just for us" when we're there.
Honeymoon CabinsHere's the nature trail - it winds along the ridge and follows an old logging road. We borrowed a guidebook in the office which helped us identify the various trees and shrubs along the way. I was surprised (and impressed) by how much my new husband knew about flora and fauna here in the Great Smokies! We're having such a wonderful time! Honeymoon Cabins
Honeymoon Cabins Honeymoon CabinsOne of the first guests here at Mountain Brook carved a long like this one and it has become a tradition. I know my beloved and I will leave one behind and look for it when we come back for our Anniversary next year.

We'll share more photos when we get home!
