Driving Directions to Mountain Brook

If you're coming from the NORTHEAST, you will pick up I40 near Ashville, North Carolina and stay on I40 toward Waynesville. Follow (a.) below.

If you're coming from the NORTHWEST, you'll pick up I40 at Knoxville and follow directions toward Ashville, North Carolina. Follow (a.) below.

(a.) Exit at EXIT 27 and stay on US 19/23/74 South. Shortly, US 19 will veer toward the right and Maggie Valley but you'll stay toward the left on 23/74 (Smoky Mountain Expressway), following directions for Sylva. Unless you need groceries, it is not necessary to exit until you come to EXIT 81 for Franklin/Atlanta/US441 South. EXIT and follow the long ramp to the light in Dillsboro. Go STRAIGHT through that intersection and continue south on US441 towards Franklin. Eight miles from Dillsboro, you'll start up a steep mountain. Nine miles (total) on the right is a motel and our big Mountain Brook sign. TURN RIGHT at our sign. Follow (b.) below.

If you're coming from the SOUTH and Atlanta, follow map directions until you intersect with either I85 or I285 North. Follow I85 North toward Greenville SC until you see an exit for Gainesville towards Clarkesville. This exit veers to the left and is I985/GA365. Take this EXIT and stay on I985/GA365 until it turns into US441 continuing north. Cross the NC border and you'll come to the outskirts of Franklin. You will see a Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen, Arby's and a set of stop lights ahead of you. The first light is for McDonalds and Big Lots on your left. Go to the next light and TURN RIGHT taking the US441 North Bypass around Franklin. Follow directions for Sylva and Cherokee. You'll start up a steep mountain and at the top on the left is a chair lift and a mining attraction called Gold City. One more mile on the downhill side of the mountain on the left is a motel and our big Mountain Brook sign. TURN LEFT at our sign. Follow (b.) below.
