PRIVACY is the number one reason they prefer cottages and cabins, our guests have told us. They can sleep in, or all day if they want. Since there is no maid service, guests that rent a cottage or cabin can live as they want. PREPARING MEALS is another reason. It's economical. Breakfast for the children, afternoon snacks, evening meals, and even raiding the refrig late at night while reading a good book. PEACE AND QUIET. To rent a cottage or cabin means no noisy neighbors, no halls to trek through or stairs to climb. SCENIC BEAUTY that can't be gotten from a motel or hotel window but rather from a front porch swing.
