Mountain Brook

Gus and Michele McMahon,  the Innkeepers, bought their property in 1979 after vacationing in the area for several years.  They purchased it from the Clark Family who conceived and constructed the cottages and cabins in the 1930's when it was called Clark's Cottages.  Gus is a retired policeman from Hollywood, FL, and Michele headed a remedial reading center at the elementary school that their two young daughters, Addison and Maqelle attended., The girls grew up learning all about hospitality as they assisted their parents in operating Mountain Brook .  Addison graduated college and soon went to work for a famous Hotel in Asheville.  Maqelle traveled and entered the hospitality field also.  In 1999, Maqelle decided to move back and share the responsibilites of the maintaining and operating the resort.  It is with pleasure that the McMahon's, Gus, Michele and Maqelle welcome you to Mountain Brook.
